About This Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager, the Distribution Manager plays an integral role in ensuring timely product delivery. This individual requires expertise in logistics and supply chain management to succeed at enhancing operational efficiency to ensure world class customer service.

 

The Distribution Manager oversees a team of 10 salaried employees and 170+ unionized hourly employees in a 500,000 sq foot facility. The individual will be responsible for the hiring, development planning, engagement and performance management within the Brampton Distribution Centre. Responsibilities

  • Ensure all logistics activities for the Brampton Market Unit are operating efficiently with a focus on cost per case neutrality. 
  • Manage, train, and develop all personnel with a focus on supercharging their potential.
  • Deliver against Key Performance Indicators or KPIs through development and consistent execution of processes. 
  • Work collaboratively with dispatch and our sales customers, focused on end-to-end communication ensuring world class customer service. 
  • Ensure communication of daily plans and compliance to Coke Canada and facility policies on OSHA/safety standards, Department of Transportation regulations, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure that all company initiatives are implemented and sustained. 
  • Ensure effective communication to the sales team, with proactive communication of challenges and a focus on collaborative solutions.
  • Work with sales, warehouse & fleet departments to ensure deliveries are timely, accurate, and efficient.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred. 
  • Experience in direct sales delivery, customer management and/or the beverages industry preferred.
  • Ability to work different shifts to accommodate different distribution schedule.
  • Ability to work under time stress in meeting deadlines required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively upstream and downstream.
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds required.
